- Choose one recurring project review.
- Keep area names and method changes visible.
- Test the record with two visits and the actual reader.
Define the review the record supports
A superintendent comparing work areas, a project manager preparing an owner update and a coordination team checking a model need different outputs. Decide which review the recurring flight will support first.
For a visual update, stable viewpoints may be more useful than a complex model. For a drawing overlay, reference and completeness matter. For model coordination, confirm the receiving file format and the parts of the site that must be captured.

Keep repeat visits comparable
Use consistent area names, visit dates and capture coverage. Record major route or camera changes beside the new visit. If an area is missed because access or site activity changed, label it instead of presenting the visit as complete.
Store outputs where the project team already works. A folder with unexplained exports creates more review work; a dated site record linked to known areas is easier to use during a meeting.
Choose the delivery format
| Review | Useful format | Check before scaling |
|---|---|---|
| Owner or team progress update | Dated photographs with named areas | Can another person find the same location next month? |
| Site drawing comparison | Referenced orthomosaic | Do coordinates, units and extent match the drawing? |
| Model coordination | Reviewed 3D output in the accepted format | Can the coordinator open and align the export? |
Select capture hardware from the recurring job
Matrice 4E is an integrated photographic mapping option. A P1 setup is the modular photographic path. Review a Dock only when the site can support recurring installed operation.
Start with two visits and one actual review meeting. Ask what the team could compare and what required extra explanation. Fix area references and distribution before adding more frequent capture or additional hardware.
