Buying Matrice 400: aircraft, payload and power

A modular aircraft is one line in the order. Here is how to assemble the rest without confusing optional equipment with included items.

At a glance
  • Select a payload by its output.
  • TB100 and BS100 are separate orders.
  • A single L3 and a multi-payload setup have different mount needs.

Choose the payload first

The Matrice 400 aircraft does not by itself decide what your team can deliver. A thermal inspection setup, a photographic mapping setup and a LiDAR setup have different sensors and different production work.

For thermal and visual inspection, review H30T. For photographic reconstruction, review P1. For a LiDAR production workflow, review L3. Start with one main job and add another payload only when the team has a use and processing path for its data.

Battery quantity follows the charging cycle

Sketch a normal day: travel, setup, first flight, landing, battery change and charging. Then mark where charging can actually occur. A crew returning to a powered vehicle between short tasks has a different problem from a team covering a large site away from power.

TB100 and BS100 are separate selections in our confirmed package. Review the working kit as an order rather than treating an aircraft-only price as a ready-to-fly total.

Avoid unnecessary connectors and unfinished integrations

Our confirmed single-L3 arrangement mounts the payload directly on Matrice 400. A multiple-payload arrangement needs its own connector review. Write down the actual payload combination before adding hardware.

Manifold 3 is computing hardware. Its platform accessory kit provides the relevant connection hardware; it does not supply a finished detection application. Assign application development and data handling before adding a compute platform to the order.
